Our education series is a great way for our patients to come together and find support, while learning skills, tools, and new ways of thinking that contribute to their success in our program.
Tonight our discussion was all about empowerment; the ability to create within ourselves the confidence and reliance that allows us to successfully reach our goals and overcome obstacles in our path.
We discussed four dimensions in which we can develop skills and mindsets that influence our ability to progress in our goals. They are:
The Cognitive Realm: Where our beliefs, perceptions and thought patterns have the potential to influence behavior patterns.
The Emotional Realm: Where we learn to harness the power of our emotions through emotional regulation tools rather than be driven by them.
The Behavioral Realm: Where we learn to intentionally align behaviors to match our values, goals an aspirations through a series of exercises and skills.
The Social Realm: Where we find our people, and surround ourselves with those who inspire and uplift us.
